Stewardship is an area of growth at St Therese. Through our class religious Education programs, as well as science units, the students and staff have an awareness of the importance of stewardship of our God’s creation. This has led to regular recycling of paper and some recycling of food scraps. We have had a vegetable garden and a gardening group. In 2011, through a federal government grant, we have installed a water tank, LED lighting and photovoltaic panels.
However, we have recognized the need to engage with stewardship in a much broader way, through studying church teachings and reflecting on scriptural references so that we can form a shared understanding of Stewardship in all its forms. This will include the use of our talents, time and treasure to build up the Kingdom of God.
