The National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is a requirement of the Australian Government and is administered to students in Year 3 and Year 5 each year. Literacy skills of Reading, Writing, Language Conventions (Grammar, Spelling & Punctuation) are assessed , as well as all areas of Numeracy.
A report is sent to each family regarding the strengths and weaknesses indicated by the testing. The school receives detailed information regarding student achievement, as well as school strengths and weaknesses. This data is analysed at a staff level and is used to plan for improvement each year.
