Student Leadership

Student leadership opportunities are an important part of a student’s development.

Each year, eight students from Year 6 are elected to the Student Council. These students represent our school at external functions, such as the Diocese of Wollongong launch of Caritas Australia - Project Compassion and Catholic Mission - World Mission Month. They also have opportunities to lead school assemblies and to be the voice of all students via regular meetings with the Principal and Assistant Principal.

Each year 16 Sports Captains from Year 6 are also elected. These students support our sports teacher in managing equipment and organising school carnivals. All other Year 6 students are  acknowledged as leaders and role models for the younger students.

Each class elects a student representative to be part of the Student Positive Behaviours for Learning (PB4L) Committee. This group meets several times per term and contributes thoughts and ideas with the aim to ensure the school learning and play spaces are conducive to good learning, and that all students feel safe within the school environment.
